You win some. You lose some.

I figured I would take this Sunday morning (6:00 AM here in Kenya) to catch you all up on what I've been up to. I'm currently in Kenya training , visiting my family, and recovering from Stockholm. As some of you may have guessed it, Stockholm's 10K changed the course of the near future but it's going to be for the better. While I am pleased with my debut, I know there is so much more in the tank in this distance. I sustained a bit of achilles issue/tightness at the Stockholm 10K and was left with very few options if I had wanted to run at the World Championships. USA's could have potentially been an opportunity but I am going to resort to focusing on where I have unfinished business - 5,000 meters. It's a long year ahead and I'll be ready to strike when the iron is hot - September. That' where the bills are paid and that's where I will not disappoint.

Speaking of paying bills, thank you to all my sponsors and all those who support me through thick and thin.

Hope all of you have a great weekend. We'll see you on the track soon. I'm really excited for this year!

PS. This message was going to be originally for my {e-mail} subscribers but I thought it'd be best to share on the site so the public could see my plans to do the 5K/10K double have changed. If you're not subscribed to my newsletter, get to it. I'll be providing commentary to every race this year.
